After 1k pictures with the new 5D3: How likely is a 12-24 f2.8 in 2013/14?
Nov 8, 2012

Hi,

Just reached the 1k exposure mark with my new 5D3 bought by the end of August. Mostly nightscapes and nightsky. While saving up for a WA I am using my cheapo 28 f2.8 which works pretty well, although it is quite narrow for that purpose. So, how likely is a 12/14-24 f2.8/4 within the next 24 months? It would be a tad wider than a 17-40 or the 16-35. I don't ask a crystal ball question, just in case someone of the pro's here would have a clue about Canon's next move according to the past product announcements. Nikon has a 12-24 2.8, there is a lower priced Sigma as well. So, Canon...I am ready to adopt one Cheers, Pedro.

Here's one of the pics I took in early October using the 28 f2.8
