Is the OMD and EPL-5 MJPG Video as bad as in EPL-3?

The EPL 1 had a basic but nice 720p motion jpg video compression.

It allowed for nice video nearly without artefacts that was so easy to edit.

On the EPL-3 the MJPG option is just bad.

Full of artefacts. Useless really. It uses the same high bitrate as on the EPL-1 but the quality is much worse.

I appreciate the AVCHD option on the EPL-3 but as soon as there is lots of detail and motion the codec can not handle it. The video becomes a mess.

In these situations I would like to use MJPG but, well it is worse.

So, now I want to upgrade to the OMD or EPL-5.

I know that the OMD AVCHD has the same problems as the EPL-3.

What about its MJPG though?

Is it better than on the EPL-3?
