I need some help merging my two favorite hobbies.....

Angling + Photography

It's used to be when I go out with my camera, I concentrate on photography; when I put on the wader and step onto the water, I concentrate on the fish.

In the past 2 year, with some new revelation and the availability of the DPx I have been simplifying my photography gear. As for fishing, I've been a one rod maverick for a long time. I have 1 ultralight spin setup, 1 medium spin setup, 1 bait cast setup, and 1 fly setup. When I head out, I take only 1 of them. I have even gone so far as to limit the lures I bring with me so eveything fits in my vest pockets. My goals for both hobbies are to travel light and get creative with what I have.

Well, back in late September, I went into a local river at dawn. While waiting for the sky to get a little brighter so I can see better, the photography part of my brain kicked in. I saw some great photo opportunities, and I immediately ask myself why didn't I think of this before? So I took out my iphone to snap a few for reference and that's when reality happened. I dropped my phone in the water. Ok, the phone was in a water tight case so it's fine, but what if it was my DP2M?

But the idea of being a Photo-angler was exciting to me. I get to do 2 of my favorite things together, what's not to like?!?! So I started to search for any quick solution to waterproof the DP2M. Nothing seems to meet my requirements. It needs to have a tripod mount and water tight. There are a few bags out there but those are without tripod mount and modifying a case would be too much work and the results might not be good.

So, I am asking all the creative minds around here to help me out a little.

What can I do to protect my DP2M?

Thanks in advance.
