A camera that is unreliable should be considered "bad". If the condition or design of the camera corrupts the image: that is usually considered bad. Other cameras may have limits, but a good photographer can learn those limits and turn them to an advantage. Some photographers can use a Diana and get good results. They used to be sold for 25cents in the toy department at Walgreens.
