As far as speed goes, I think if you equal or exceed the class of card the camera calls for you won't see any further speed improvement. (my GX1 calls for class 6 or higher)

Only true if you are talking about the class rating. Once you get into UHS-I it's a different ball game.
It was my understanding that the camera can only go so fast, but that a slow(er) card will slow it down.
I'll have to read up on what UHS-1 is.
In any case class 6 or higher should work fine for the PL5 in movie mode.
