E-M5 C-AF question

I've noticed that if I use C-AF, the lens will keep hunting for a focus lock while if I simply use S-AF under the same situation/stationary subject, it'll ge a lock right away. But then when I ignore the hunting and press the shutter button (set to not release unless focused), sometimes I could still get a sharp image even though it seems to me is still hunting. Is that your experience, too?

In the case of DSLRs, in C-AF, there's no hunting like that and it won't hunt once it's focused. So I'm wondering if it's normal for the E-M5 to behave like that and if that's the case for other mirror-less/m43 cameras.

TIA for your responses !
