Why are we here in the first place.

What happened to politeness, courtesy, regard, ethics and humbleness amongst adult people? Especially here, as well as in general life. Lately there has been and still is a lot of misbehaviours in these forums I am afraid, which scare people away.

Why don’t we take into consideration that firstly; there are people here from all walks of life, from all different races and cultures and last but not least, a large number of people who do not even have English as their native language, since this is an international web site.

In my naivety, I thought we are here to enlighten each other as well as being enlightened in the regions of photography which we all share an interest in. Of course there shall be discussions, levels of disagreements, and sometimes plain frustration of people’s daftness. But please let us keep the last one in our minds and do not show our frustration. Maybe it is me and you who are daft. However it only makes things worse.

Whether one uses mft, ff or any other medium as well as verbally to express oneself, let’s keep it more interesting and preferably more knowledgeable than we so far have been able too. Remember, there are newcomers as well as old hogs out there, and old farts like me. Question yourselves, why am I here in the first place?
