This lens plus the 14-45mm provides coverage from 14 to 140mm. So does the 14-140mm lens used as a kit lens with the GH1/GH2.
I have been planning to sell my 14-45 and buy the 14-140, but this new lens is lighter and less than half the cost of the 14-140mm. On the other hand, It would also be less convenient for walking around because of the need to change lenses.
It would be interesting to know the difference in sharpness, colour and IQ in general between this lens and the bigger, heavier 14-140mm. Any views?
I would think twice before selling your 14-45 if you are happy with your copy. The 14-45 has undoubtedly better IQ than the 14-140 in its range. I would suspect that this 45-150 also has better IQ within its range.
You're making concessions with the 14-140, but as long as your comfortable with them, and want the convenience of a superzoom you'll be happy. Otherwise, I would certainly consider the 45-150.
