K01 - Bad camera to capture photos of small kids?

For those who own the K01, just wondering whether this camera is a bad choice when it comes to photographing small kids.  Has the new firmware with improved AF made it useable for this type of shooting?

I used to shoot the NEX 5N, but found the AF too slow and inaccurate, just wondering whether the K01 is any better in this department?
