The 28-105 can be a sharp lens if you get the right one.Manufactured by Tamron but the same lens is sold under the Pentax and Promaster brand. The good one in this bunch is the one with a 62mm filter size.It is a very good lens for using outdoors but much too slow for shooting a wedding indoors. On a two week vacation this fall it was on my camera 80% of the time or more. The Tamron 70-200 f2.8 has been recommended a few times,I don't own one but have been around several venues where pro's are using it and rate it very highly.I plan on owning one in the future but have other thing on my list of wants that will come before getting one.The thing holding me back is the size and weight of this lens would make me use something else that weighed a fraction of what it does.
