Are you after comments purely on the quality of the footage or comments on your composition, storytelling and editing skills?  If it's the latter, youtube will be fine as it doesn't really matter if there's some compression involved.  You just need to get a clip up there so that people can look at it and give a judgement.

Also, if you have video editing software, compress the video a bit first before uploading.  The footage straight from your camera is probably going to produce quite a large file but the raw footage isn't needed from a critical point of view (unless it's purely for judging the quality of the footage).
