XE1 electronic DOF scale still conservative?

Hi all,

I have an X100 and as most of you know the electronic DOF scale is way too conservative to be useful. I was wondering if it's the same on the XE1. Also, when you are putting on a 3rd party lens does the DOF scale show on the EVF provided you have entered the focal length in the menu?
