After firmware update 1DX problems with auto focus

After i posted this i thought of having the focus off i had set up the

auto focus according to a piece by Arthur Morris and he does shoot that way

he manual focus first and then the auto kicks in i forgot about that i will check it out

when i get home tonight going through the menu he suggest i must have turned it off

and didn't put two and two together thanks for the tip
