Rumor: Oly 17/1.8 for sale in December, price € 550.

Christmas present: 17mm f/1.8 to hit stores in December for 550 Euro.

Don't think the price is too bad, will likely go down over time. The 12/2 supposedly hit the streets at € 800. Still, at that price the Oly 17 should be better than the Pany 20.
