Thom Hogan and Nikon has admitted that Nikon have increased their inventory by 31% in the last 6 months so his graph doesn't necessarily translate to sales, and could also mean stock is being returned from the shop floor/amazon ie over priced point and shoots and Nikon 1's so his graph is deliberately favourable to Nikon.

I assume from the company as above. I havent looked at the accounts in detail but at first glance inventories appear to be up slightly less than 30% at 149 billion yen vs 119 billion yen.

That would appear to be consolidated and it maybe that they break out inventories by division elsewhere.
