For reading the patches you start the application, like printing the target, you fill the printer, ink and paper description. Select Print and Measure target, instead of printing you just select next. You should be in Spectro Calibration phase, after calibration you can measure and build a new profile. If you want to re read the target follow the Select an Existing Measurement File path.

Thank you montera2!

My problem is that generally, with or without printing the target, the Spyder soft is showing a picture of the target when you read the patches. This means that in the case of the CD targets it has to show (and expect after that for the calculation) the CD target, but I could not find the way to make it work like that. It is always showing the paper EZ or normal targets and this is what you see when reading the patches (one by one or with the plastic guide). I do not care what is shown on the screen and have no problem to read the CD patches even with a picture of a paper target. But does the software correctly calculate the profile in this case? This is why I am trying to find a way to tell the soft that I am reading a CD. I would expect that there must be indication of this before starting the calculation of the profile.

As an extra "paranoid personality" I use a separate PC-XP- dedicated for profiling only, no firewall, no antivirus software just the Spyder3Print software. Better, more accurate profiles than with the previous configuration on a general use PC.

Ha ha, yes. I am also using a XP PC, which has no connections to the Internet, only for my Photography hobby. Sometimes it is a problem when a software I purchased tries to call home, but up to now I manage to solve this.
