A99 w/studio strobes sync issues?

I was just trying out my A99 with some studio strobes tonight when I discovered that if I shoot at the maximum sync speed of 1/250th of a second(according to sony's specs)I'm getting sync issues.The top of the frame is getting cut off.If I back down to 1/200th of a second I have no problems.I was wondering if someone else could try this and confirm if there is a problem with the camera or if the problem lies with my lighting set up.

I will say I've used the same setup with my A77 at 1/250th of a sec. with no problems.I tried with the electronic first curtain on and off to see if that made a difference,but it did not.

My settings were:

Manual

f8,iso 100

shutter speed 1/200th and 1/250th

steadyshot off

triggered with pocketwizards

Here's a couple of pics showing the problem.I apologize for the terrible model.I didn't have anyone to model for me,so I had resort to taking pictures of myself.
