i got a epson 4900 printer a month ago, its clogged now and epson is sending me a replacement unit which i am going to sell.
i dont print often, i may go for about 2-3 weeks without printing. i print on gloss, luster and canvas paper. a 13 inch or 17inch width printer is fine for my needs. which one would you recommend that clogs less. i am looking at the canon pixma pro 1, epson r3000, epson 3880.
May I know which colors? I plan to get a 4900 or 7900 for my new business. I seriously did not hear about this problem with 4900 before. Are you using epson's inks?
I currently use ink republic 38xx series new IRK4 inks and also R3000 system, I find that my R3000 has no problem with any nozzles after about 2 weeks of idle. I haven't put it in idle for more than 3 weeks. It should OK I guess. Epson inks would give you similar result if idling 3 weeks.
