My worst nightmare with the A99...

Sorry to hear about your problem. I normally try to buy locally (my A77 and CZ 16-80 both came from my local Jessops, who are actually rather good and have enthusiasts on the staff). However, even though it's some time ago i must put in a good word for DigitalRev.

When the A700 was new, I bought mine from them - it was a good price, and the camera wasn't then available in the UK (remember the fuss about the nickel in the handgrip) and I got a fully functioning overseas model rather than the UK (EU) model with the handgrip sensor disabled. Everything went very smoothly, and they were then offering to refund the VAT paid - I sent a copy of the VAT invoice, and they refunded within a week.

I'm not disputing people's problems with the firm, but there is another side to them as well.
