X100 vs Sony RX-100

Just packed-up the RX100 in its original packaging and sent it back for a refund. Captured some great images with the RX100 on travels around the US in the past 60 days but, in my opinion, its a camera that does all the work for you and leaves little room for creativity. On top of that there are multiple, large dust bunnies on the sensor that are clearly visable above f/4. What's the point in having a great little camera that's only usuable between f/1.8 and f/4? Ordered the X100 this morning and I'm looking forward to getting back to more "user-controlled" creativity.
