Control dial problem w/a580

Had the same problem with my A560 right from the moment I  bought it. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not, and seemed to get worse over time. The A560 is nearly identical to the A580. It needs repair, even though some have reported success with fixing it themselves (one thing I remember is to blow air into the slot where the dial resides, though I wouldn't do that myself).
