I don't want no stinkin' D300 replacement... (do you?)

And that's because Nikon is going to make a horses a** out of it as it's done with all it's latest cameras.

Don't know what them Nikon boys been smoking lately, but had the chance to use the D4/D800/D600 with Nikon's 400/500/600 teles and my, are they crappy cameras.

Now don't get me wrong, they are great picture taking machines.

Thing is that they haven't actually brought anything new to the photo table compared with the camera they are replacing. But they do video, 'cuz, you know, video is like, the new video and stuff.

And all that cheese they moved around... it's horrible.

I don't want a D300 replacement.

Don't want buttons switched, switches buttoned, joysticks and tiny little D-Pads.

I don't want my default exposure compensation going the wrong way.

Don't want a card slot without a lock-out and most definetely don't want the movie button.

I really like having a switch for measuring modes. And the AE-L button is placed in the proper position...

If I wanted all the changes that Nikon has made to the latest crop of pro bodies, I would have bought a Canon the love of Gd...
