As a former canon owner I would consider the sigma 50-500 OS. Its better than sigmas 150-500 and mine is just as good if not better than canons 100-400. Heck my old Sigma 50-500 non OS I had in canon mount was just as good as my friends 100-400 and he had a very good copy of that lens.
The 50-500 OS is stabilized has fast focus and is extremely versatile.
