I went ahead and switched out the 24-85 for the 85mm 1.8g.  I have no regrets thus far and absolutely love the quality of pictures I've taken.  I don't plan on traveling soon so the zoom lens isn't a priority.

I am in the market for another lens but not sure which way to go.  I've mentioned this in another thread, but no responses yet.  I'm contemplating the 28mm 1.8g but wasn't sure if I should just go ahead and go for a third party ultra wide lens.  My price range is less than $750 so any suggestions?
