Taking photos of cars

I have some friends asking me to take photos of their cars and I was trying to practice with my own... I haven't been able to find a lot of car-shoots in this forum, could some experienced members possibly point me towards some threads or give me some advice? Any suggested angles? Sample photos? They're modern German cars (BMW528, MB S550), so antique/truck photo tips may not be as applicable...
