Hi jimbob7x,
I recently bought a Lowepro Slingshot 202AW to hold the following items:
- Canon 60D with EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM attached
- EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS
- EF 85mm f/1.8
- Nissin Digital Di622 Mark I flash
and after all these things there is still space for a point-and-shoot camera (for my wife), a Sanyo pistol-grip video camera plus some small items. I found this sling bag pretty comfy to wear, and relatively light. I did eye for a Kata 3-in-1 20 but found the straps not wide enough (although they are better padded than Lowepro's), and being a transformable sling bag/backpack it is not doing a good enough job when I test-wear it. The fact that the Lowepro is on sale @ CDN$80 (regular $130 at retail/online) vs. $100+ for Kata makes it a deal-sealer.
Just my 2 cents. Make sure that you bring some of your gears to try it out - I did because my 60D is gripped, and the side opening on smaller sling bags such as Lowepro's Slingshot 102AW is not big enough.
Hope you find your perfect bag!
Alan
