Thrilled - We Have Two!

I was weaned on MF (4x5) & LF (8x10) View Cameras in the late 60s.
Thus, D800E is my large print, landscape camera of choice for rich detail.
I rarely shoot without a tripod and use proper technique (M Up, Cable release, etc.)
The 24-120 VR f:4 is a great walk-around lens on this camera, though I use the holy trinity for most of my careful tripod work.
I don't shoot fast-moving subjects with many AF sensors so I don't worry about a potential AF problem. In fact I haven't even tested my left sensor with wide primes to see if the problem exists.
Some critics are disappointed with LV focusing. I have solved that potential problem by using a Zacuto finder.
My wife uses the D800 (mostly with 85 f:1.4) for studio portrait work and her only complaint is that the files are so crisp she has to spend more time retouching her vain subjects. LOL!
