How good is the nikkon AF-S teleconverter TC 20 E 111 ?

I've used  the TC 20 E 111 a fair bit with the 70-200vrII on my D3. Initially, I was also using a TC 14.4 II and 1.7II. I found t he 2.0 III to be as good as the 1.4 and better than the 1.7. Is it as good as shooting with the bare lens...no. Has it allowed me to capture images that I couldn't have with out it... yes. Following is a D3 iso 3200, f 5.6(wide open) 380 mm image that was shot in low light and cropped:
