The Canadian Medical System
Nov 6, 2012

I walked into my local family DOC's office on Friday afternoon at about 3:00 pm and asked IF I could make an appointment. The receptionist said that I could see him at 6:00 pm that same evening.

I wanted to get a FLU shot, and a routine (annual) blood work test done.

He gave me the Flu shot, and also the requisition form for the tests.

(you know, the normal "male" things cholesterol, PSA, FIT, and other standard blood analysis)

I went to my local Med-Labs clinic just up the street this morning at 10:30 am...waited about 10 mins, and had the blood-work done.

This afternoon, at 4:45 pm...I checked online to see my test results.

Pretty good - A?

and, all at zero cost out of pocket to me.

I just wanted to mention this here...because of all the recent anti-Canadian healthcare rhetoric that gets thrown around on this forum.
