Show Your Snaps...November 5, 2012

We invite you again to show your own snapshots or even choice pictures. Remember it's all about the enjoyment of taking pictures regardless of what we have. We can learn from each other and it's fun to share too.

For me, this past weekend was better where we didn't have rain. But there was still cloudy weather. I didn't mind as it gave me a chance to play around with the high ISO settings again. I was pleased with the outcome. Even if you all have cloudy weather, do try to see what you can get also...let's see them.

We will start a new thread for this every week now due to the popularity. I'll be sure to comment also to your images, if you choose to share. Thanks everyone for your participation.

Photo No. 1 - This first picture was taken at our Japanese Garden in Portland, Oregon.

Photo No. 2 - This second picture was also taken at the Japanese Garden.

Photo No. 3 - Here's another one at the Japanese Garden...all taken during cloudy conditions.

Photo No. 4 - At the Japanese Garden the red colors were really bright.

Photo No. 5 - Later I went to Washington Park for this photo.

Photo No. 6 - Again, this was taken in Washington Park.

Photo No. 7 - Here's a photo taken at Dawson Creek Business Park where I can find birds.

Photo No. 8 - At Dawson Creek, I got a picture of an ordinary duck.

Photo No. 9 - And another duck at Dawson Creek...notice the fine detail in cloudy weather.

Photo No. 10 - Here is a dog that was set loose at Dawson Creek which I don't think was a good idea. I have seen some of the dogs jump into the cold ponds to attack these birds. They are supposed to be on a leash. The large white duck or goose was a little territorial where it would appear to scare some of the people away.
