Each person has its own opinion , lol. Between the SX260 HS and the SX 230 HS I would recomend the 260 .

Why ?

Because according to digital camera info the color accuracy of the 260 is much better  than the color accuracy of the 230.

I have a 230 myself. Sometimes I find the pictures a bit greenish.

In low light the camera is rather good, indeed. Surprisingly good.

The sx260 HS has a slower lens.

If you intend to take pictures in low light choose the sx230.

The canon s95 has better color acuracy than the 230.

The s95 is a cool camera indeed. ( But it has only  3.8 zoom  while the 260 has 20X    zoom ).
