Very helpful information on the Fuji lenses. May get X-E1, but not many lenses just now. So I first thought maybe the 35 mm for street photos and 60mm for landscapes. But after reading this, for a beginner, maybe 27 and 56 mm would be OK?

Yes, but in another thread I explained why I'd get the kit zoom in the meantime. Nobody knows when the primes will be released, and in the meantime you'd get what appears to be a stellar zoom covering most of the range you'd purchase primes for anyway, at least to tide you over. Otherwise you could be waiting until next April for your lenses to be released.

So is there any good information on the 27mm - coming early next year? 2.8 good enough, (1.7 20mm/G3 not much used now). Seems to be very small, perfect for carrying all day. Could be ok with one lens for some time as I have seen now. But have to wait for the 27mm to appear - and for you to test it, of course!

Only photos of the prototype, and yes, it's a pancake lens!

If you want primes, which lenses are up to you. Frankly, in the Fuji line, the 14mm, the 23mm/27mm, and 56mm would meet the needs of the vast majority of photographers (only those needing a very long lens would be left out, and at some point the 55-200mm lens will be released for them, or they can use a long manual exposure lens with the right adapter).

Thanks! Well, the kit zoom sure will be lot better than my 14-42, and 2.8-4 is nice. And got stabilization. But also noticed the size and weight, not what I had in mind. Have not found out much ekse about it.

How many lenses and which? Guess two of the mentioned could cover 90 % of my use. And after some cropping with the Panasonic 20mm, more would be possible with the Fujis. Then if everything turns out well, there could be more lenses of course...
