What's the general opinion about DPP's RAW functions. Is it sufficient before transferring to Photoshop or do you get more control and necessary functions from the Adobe products?
I've been using DPP for years and highly rate it! Apart from being free, I believe it gives excellent control of Canon RAW files and is always being updated to add further functions.
I too use Photoshop CS4 to finalise my images, I prefer to add unsharp mask in CS4 rather than the sharpening default setting that the G1X produces, in DPP which I find too aggressive.
I'm sure that LR is an excellent tool; I did have a trial run with LR4, but I'm so used to the workflow with DPP I soon reverted back to it.
