Depending on how much you enlarge, all wide angles become less sharp at the edges.
The reason is circles at the centre of the image are stretched into ovals at the edge of the frame. This stretching reduces resolution along the diagonal relative to the centre; the wider the lens angle.
The softness might not show at small enlargements, but it can viewing a 36 MP image at 100% on a monitor at 15 inches - equivalent to viewing a 6 foot wide print at 15 inches.
A rule of thumb at about 21mm and wider is to stop down an extra stop to avoid corners seeming relatively unsharp in big enlargements.
If you did not get a copy of the lens instructions they caution camera body phase detect AF is more likely to mis focus than with longer lenses shooting fine detail of small item subjects.
Some of your web subjects are less than ideal AF focus subjects. Ideally you need different subjects parallel to the camera back to properly check focus accuracy.
