Dated AF module - is something new coming?

Approach of introducing:

Phase 1. Hybrid - Have current spread out + Have a 5-7 more few spread AF points

Phase 2. Have a wider spread out - just like DX models

There are many times when I am trying to compose a shot and the AF spread in FX isn't enough. While some may argue endlessly about overcoming the short comings, I will happily ignore the responses.

I will let others trail this topic all over the place, but I think Nikon does seriously need a wider AF module in their FX line - regardless of how they will achieve it.
