Who and why do you buy a camera before they have been out for a couple of months

I like that research. I can be classified as a laggard, but am I also a half wit conservative, with small income to spare? I do not even have any farm and I do not live in Iowa.

Problem with that research reference is that it was conducted on group of people who used innovative technology for a living. The innovators in that group made money conscious and sensible decision that allowed them to increase their profit and improve their level o life. It is rather different group from the innovator user group of camera technology, many of them never really using their gear for conducting any business nor needing to rationalize their purchase decision.
