Minolta 35-105 f 3.5-4.5. My copy has crazy lens distortion on both the short and long ends. The lens is happiest at f8-f11. The "macro" setting actually has some rather nice DOF characteristics at f8. Lately I am thinking this is the best thing about the lens, period. That and that it has some rather interesting greens - not so saturated so a little more natural looking than newer lenses. It is not sharp, has a very "retro" look, I think. Did I mention the odd bokeh when it is wide open? It does have a very useful zoom range. Lately I am using it on my A900 for walking around Central Park here in New York sometimes. It is a very noisy combination...scares both the wildlife and the muggers....:-)

Thank you. I've had my eye on that lens for a while now, but having the same generation 28-85/3.5-4.5 as well as the 35-70/4 has kept me from getting it.
