Seems like a lot of good prices on 77mm filters - specifically the Hoya HD 77mm polarizer. This is north or $150 usually. Does anyone have experience here and know if they are real? Thanks!

I don't recall who exactly I bought mine from (it was on Ebay) but it definitely disappointed. The sharpness of both my 17-55 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 II dropped to a point where I felt it was unacceptable.

Suppose that's the risk you take when buying on eBay and I have subsequently bought other filters (B+W) with no problems at all.

I'm not saying they are all fake or of poor quality but approach with caution.
