I would check out the 'new 24-70' and compare to your present lens before
considering the lens 'upgrade', at least with some shots at the camera store.
Then, if your sold on the new lens, consider the 6D to go along with the lens.
You'll have to wait a bit to see what the general consensus is, but, it would be
lighter and more compact, possible much improved low light focusing,
east to tether to laptop, better high ISO performance
image quality perhaps on par with the MKIII,
new generation flash compatability,
and it uses the same battery as your MKII.
We should know in about a month?
