Living with Nikon 1 System

The flash sync speed is one of the advantages of the V1. When using the electronic shutter both the V1 and J1 are limited to 1/60 but if you use the V1's mechanical shutter then you can go all the way up to 1/250, which is faster than some full size DSLR's.
