I thought the vignetting would have been an issue for some people and there's probably a lot more that have viewed the posts and do not like it at all. I like to do it if my main point of interest is fairly central and not running out to the edge of the photograph, it seems to concentrate my attention on the main interest and I feel it is easier on the eye. I also find the abrupt stop at the edges of a photograph can leave you wanting to know more about what's happening outside the frame where as the vignettes provide a softer exit, if that makes sense. Part of my reason for posting these shots is to receive feedback on what works and what doesn't from people like yourselves who have an interest in our hobby and have the experience and the eye to provide an oppinion that I can use to improve my photography. I think I am becoming my own worst critic because I am always wanting to do better and can see what I think are the faults in my efforts, these faults are now more and more to do with my processing of images and that's why I have now joined DPR. If people like my posts then I can continue along the the same tracks, if you don't then I can look at changing and that makes it a win win situation.
