D600 Lens Setup?
|
I posted this in a different forum but this one makes more sense so apologies if you've seen this. I'm thinking of moving up from a D90 to the D600. I'm used to the 18-105 as my walkaround so I'm really wanting a little reach, which is why the 24-85 may not work for me. So here's the setup I'm considering:
Nikon 28-300 for walkaround (new purchase)
Tamron 24-70 VR for lower light (new purchase)
Sigma 10-20 for WA (DX but will use for now since I already have it and love it)
Nikon primes (50 and 85 1.8s - have them)
The move to FX means I'll sell my Nikon 70-300 (if I go with the 28-300), 35 1.8, and Sigma 50-150.
My real concern is the IQ of the 28-300 on the D600. I'm getting good results from my 18-105 so this is an important decision for me. Reviews on this combo are all over the place. I'm an advanced amateur but not a paid professional or a pixel peeper. Just looking to take beautiful photos and memories.
Thanks for any and all comments!
Rick
