Walk around lens for a D300

Well, if you liked the F3.5 you'll likely love the F4... I'm saying this because it's a couple of steps up the qualify ladder from your typical Nikkor walk around lens. I used to like taking shots as wide as 11mm (using a Tokina 11-16) on my old D300 so I never considered a walk about lens with a bottom end of only 24mm, but each to there own...
