Advice plz: Which is the sharpest of these 3?

Just got a D800 and coming from the DX D300. All my lenses are for DX, and well that isn't going to work on the D800 (you know what I mean). Anyhow....the budget is tight. Need to get one great lens. I don't want cheap out if possible and get an ok lens I'll regret in a few months.

I'm getting big into protrature now and a little bit into Landscapes. Bought the AF-S 1.4 50mm and its a very good value. Just doesn't seem as sharp as I'd like. So I'm thinking of:

1. Keep the 1.4 50mm. Good for portraiture. About $450

2. AF-S 16-35mm VR lens. Using it now, but haven't seen s spectacular sharpness. Need to use it more for a final call on sharpness. Reviews state horrible distortion at wide end on FX. I can live with this-esp considering the price. The MM range is perfect for Landscapes and protrature. BUT, strong possibility of getting the spectacularly awesome 14-24 lens in a year or so. Most fun lens ever. If so, this would cancel out the 16-35 so not to hot on having both.

3. The 85mm 1.4D Nikkor. About $ 800 new. The AF-S version insanely adds almost a grand to this price. But it sounds like either the AF-S or D variant are the sharpest of all 3 here. A little bit better close up and tack sharp.

4.  If you have used all 3 of the above, under the most ideal conditions which is the sharpest?

I also do some sports photography and it would be nice to have a fast lens. None of the above fiit the bill really on this. Anyhoo...willing to spend about $1k for my first FX lens. I can still return the 50mm lens for a full refund, so that helps.

Suggestions.....?
