  1. No, the signal transmission is via infrared, so you need one flash (usually the clip-on unit) tor fire the signal. You can separately dial its strength down to -3EV, though, and there are IR-filter clips that you can put on it to suppress the visible light pretty completely. Radio transmission would be better obv, but infrared is workable, too.
  2. Yes, you might have to tell the camera the focal length of the lens, for the IBIS to work correctly.
