Hi Laura,

The R300 is an excellent printer, suggest you have a look at the post from Jtoolman just a few posts before this.

He has three Youtube videos which explain a lot of what you need to know. Dont worry too much about the colour calibration just to start you off, you should be able to get good prints from the Epson profiles. I would suggest you print everything via photoshop to start with, use Photoshop manages colours not printer manages colours.

I use an Epson 3880 but have several friends with the R3000 and can say that the results with colour and monochrome are excellent, just need to set up the printer etc.
