Most people who own an NEX camera are not thinking they will upgrading to a future FF NEX. The FF NEX will appeal to a small percentage of current NEX users along with a whole range of new customers who are tired of bulk, most likely, or who want a FF camera that can shoot a lot of legacy glass. On the other hand, "forever" sure doesn't seem like any glass will last that long.

You may be correct, but does that mean the NEX E-Mount line will stay mediocre and when the most likely to come out FF NEX cameras start dropping they will get the quality optics? Now don't go rant about how the optics aren't shitty for the NEX, no one needs to hear it.. most enthusiasts mainly use legacy glass, so whatever...
I don't see my plastic Sigma lens lasting for forever, and I LOVE my Nex-7, but I don't know that I'll be a NEX user for forever, its a slightly frustrating system.
