The sight is a NoStar. I'm experimenting with it. It's pretty good, with good battery life so far and a choice of projected light points -- I like the crosshair. . .

If you're thinking that looks like the tripod collar for the Tamron SP 80-200 f2.8 A2, you are correct. It's a perfect fit for the DA 55-300. Hand held, I use it without the tripod plate. . .as a palm rest

The Hood Loupe is attached by two extra heavy duty rubber bands.
