Not sure if the G15 works the same way as my G10, but according to the G10 and the manual of the G15 it works like this: set file numbering to Continuous and set Make folder to Off.

Unfortunatelly, G15 doesn't have the option for "Make folder" to "Off". It only has "Monthly" & "Daily". I think Canon kinda rushed with this firmware. A lot of things are just missing...
