As much as I would like to blame Microsoft for this, I can't. The crapware is installed by the PC manufacturer, not Microsoft. As far as the stuff you need, we all need different things and it's nice to have choice, so I don't want MS (or Apple) choosing what software I need. They both have enough control already.
